January 2010 Blog

The January Family Blog is mostly photos of everyone enjoying the Holiday season. These photos are not in any family order. There are families enjoying Christmas Day, Leslie's kids on the Polar Express and sledding, Dinner with Mike and Gail, Compound Party at Roger's, Phillip's family trip to Disney, Tammy's family at the beach and lots more. Oh, and Lily enjoying drumming and stockings.

Since we did not send a letter this year, we thought we would go a little paperless and send our information through the blog.

Happy New Year to all! 2009 was a turning point for us with Megan turning 16 and Dylan turning 13. Our children are growing up so fast. We are enjoying all the things that they are involved with in and out of school. Megan is gearing up for her second semester as a Junior and we are beginning to look at colleges and what we need to do for applying. She is still dancing, and we will have several competitions beginning in March. Her first prom will happen this year and she is beginning to show those signs of independence. Dylan is playing baseball with an organization in Hickory, 3 Up 3 Down. There is a former NFL two time Superbowl player that is conducting speed and agility exercises for the players. Dylan is also taking pitching lessons from a former New York Yankee minor league pitcher. We feel blessed that we found this group and the type of instruction that he is getting. Dylan is working hard because his aspirations is to play baseball in college. We will have to wait and see. His games will start sometime this spring. We are very blessed to have the two wonderful children that God gave us although there are times when we wonder what have we done. We live in a wonderful area with wonderful neighbors and family members, and we have jobs. Looking forward to 2010.
