Delora Goodson was there to celebrate with Dori.

Tammy Goodson and family had a great time at the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in Columbia, SC. Her department at work coordinates trips for their employees and families and this year they took a group to the zoo. These are some of the pictures. That is Jacob and his friend, Noland , in some of the pictures. About 200 people went on the trip. Tammy said Jacob loved the birds and could spend hours trying to get them to sit on his hand

Bernice and Bill Harris are excited to start building their new home on Goodson Road. The foundation has been poured and some brick laid on the wall of the foundation. They are getting really excited to be finally getting a one story home. Bernice says “Our old house has served us well until we "out aged" it. God has helped get this far and I know He will help sell our house at the appropriate time.”

Bernice says that Bill is still struggling with back pain plus the problems that Parkinson disease brings. He is going to have a test 7-2 with dye to see just what he needs. They know that he still has some stenos. between the 4th & 5th and also the 3rd and 5th vertebra. She hopes it does not mean more surgery. Bernice got good news at the heart doctor this month. She is doing good and can stop some of her medications. The new eye doctor (she has switched to Graystone) says that he does not think she has Glaucoma and she can stop using the eye drops. Saves $25.00 a month

Judy Watts is doing well since her recent surgery and is gaining strength everyday. Carson and Maggie Watts are busy with gymnastics, horse back riding, drawing class and even sewing class this summer. Cale is finished school for the summer with one more year to go. Cale, Kathy and the girls are planning a two week vacation to Florida this summer as well as a trip to the beach.

Phillip Harris sent an update on his busy family. School is finished with Grant completing 2nd grade and Aaron kindergarten. They had a successful year at Tuttle Elementary School. Their grandmother adds that she was very proud of them because both boys awards at he end of school. Aaron got the an award for accomplishing the first grade level in reading. Grant got a Principal’s Award and Speech Award.

Grant & Aaron finished machine pitch baseball season in June. They played for the Cincinnati Reds and had a great season.

The Harris family is vacationing at the campground at James Island (just south of Charleston) for a week at the end of June. They expect it to be exciting as the Tall Ships are to be in Charleston Harbor that weekend.

Playing Summer Games

David Huss sends out a warning to all that Mason now has his driver's permit. David says they will call everyone in Lincoln County when they are coming that way so we can get off of the roads.

Roger Goodson has been enjoying his recent retirement. Mohican had a retirement celebration where Roger received a certificate for 30 years of service. A hot dog dinner was held in his honor on his last day of work. Roger was excited to win his bass club’s monthly tournament for June. However, he managed to pull his back out this week. Not fishing but getting a trash bag out of the cabinet….go figure.
