Family News

Dylan Harris has made the North Lincoln Middle School Baseball Team. Everyone should try to come see him play.

Aubrey Melius celebrated her 18th birthday on the 9th of February. She has also graduated from North Gaston High School.

Maggie Watts is head anchor of the Pumpkin Center Intermediate News Team. She also is excited that she made the Battle of the Books Team. Carson and Maggie will also be clogging in the school talent show.

Bernice Harris shares that she and Bill are continuing to feel better. They just purchased the lot just beyond the ceder trees after you pass Uncle Earnest's house on Goodson Road. Bernice says it is a good place for a house, no trees to remove, fairly level, with a good view. They are not sure when they will build. It probably depends on when they can sell their current house. If you know anybody looking for a house tell them about it.

Noah and Emma Bailey learned to ride their bikes without training wheels. See the photos below.

Judy Watts is healing from skin cancer surgery on her nose. Chris Goodson and Kathy Goodson finally got Judy's computer working so she has email again.

Phyllis Huss has been sick with the stomach flu but is feeling better now.

David Huss recently ran a marathon. Go David.

Kathy Goodson recently won a 3rd place in the Lincoln County Arts Council Photography Contest. See photo below.

Lily Reavis-Goodson says a late Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. (She really just said "A GOOO", but that is what she meant. )

Family Members Health Status

• Bill Harris recently had back surgery. Bernice says he is doing well but not getting better as fast as he would like. Bernice has started back on her rehab, and she is doing much better. She still tires quickly but is able to do much more.


• Judy Watts will be having surgery on her nose on February 5th for skin cancer. Her doctor assures her it is 100% curable.

Did you hear?

• Dori Hartsell is doing her student teaching now at Costner Elementary in Dallas where she worked. We are so proud of you Dori.


• Aubrey Melius has finished high school. She will attend Aveda Cosmetology School in Charlotte in March.


• Noel Hartsell made all A's on her report card! Malachi Hartsell, Dori is very proud to say, made all B's.
  
• Leslie Bailey’s son, Noah, lost his first tooth last week. The tooth fairy brought him a golden dollar.
  
• Tammy Dickerson's son Jacob is now ten. They celebrated his birthday with a trip to Washington, DC. He is growing so much and now wears men size shoes. Tammy says they have a new pet beagle mutt mix named Sheba who is as stubborn and bullheaded as any dog I have ever met- and too smart for her own good. They welcome anyone visiting Myrtle Beach to call them and they would be happy to drive down from Florence to visit. (I will include her information in the email.)

• Kathy Goodson has started keeping Lily since Becky Reavis has gone back to work.


• Megan Harris recently attended the Winter Ball with 2 of her best friends.
  

Dori is planning a Spring family get together.
